MSS offers a limited lifetime warranty on all MSS manufactured and engineered parts such as adjusters, adjuster/coupler combined products (small, medium, large), couplers, MSS orange springs and MSS black springs, PU seat (“MSS Parts”). By lifetime warranty we mean the warranty against defects in materials and workmanship that has no time limit to make a claim.
Any third-party parts included in the MSS Parts (“Third Party Parts”), as outlined in the installation notes or otherwise, are covered for a 12-month warranty period from the date of purchase.
What is covered?
In the event that any MSS Parts or Third Party Parts (together “Products”) are defective in material or workmanship during the relevant warranty periods mentioned above, we will (at our sole discretion and subject to these terms and conditions) either repair or replace the Product or refund you the purchase price.
What is excluded?
This warranty does not include any defects or damage caused to the Products by:
a) any excessive use of the Products or use of the Products not under normal use and operating conditions;
b) Incorrectly set ride height;
c) Any wilful or negligent act or neglect;
d) Any modifications to the vehicle or the Product or its component parts;
e) Any malicious or accidental damage to the Products including but not limited to caused by foreign objects, substances, accidents or collisions;
f) Failure to comply with the manufacturer’s safety instructions or instruction manual, inadequate maintenance or non-compliance with fitting, installation or maintenance instructions;
g) Cosmetic damage or wear and tear which does not affect the normal use of the Product including but not limited to damage to paintwork, dents or scratches;
h) Rust, corrosion, scaling or water damage;
i) Defects in any Third-Party Parts;
j) The Product being fitted to a non-compatible or modified vehicle;
k) Incorrect assembly or installation by the purchaser, retailer or any other third party;
l) any act of God; or
m) Incompatible non-original equipment third-party parts (including but not limited to brake kits/parts; wheels or tyre upgrades; shock absorber upgrades; anti-roll bars; wheel spacers etc.),
This warranty does not cover:
a) Any costs charges or labour incurred for the installation, re-installation, re-fit or rectification of the Products or any built-in or integrated original equipment parts;
b) Consequential, indirect or incidental loss damage, including but not limited to damage to or loss of use of your vehicle, or to any other person or property or loss of profit or revenues; or
c) transfer of the vehicle to any subsequent purchasers of the vehicle (i.e. it is personal and limited to the original purchaser of the Products on the original vehicle of installation only).
How to make a claim
To make a warranty claim you must return the defective Products to the place where the Product was purchased together with
(i) the original proof of purchase or receipt
(ii) details of your name, address and contacts
(iii) details of the vehicle in which the Products were installed and
(iv) a description of the defect and when it was noticed.
If you purchased the Products directly from us, please return them to us at R5 MSS Ltd, MSS House, Unit A3 Albion, Daedalus Park, Daedalus Drive, Lee-on-the-Solent, United Kingdom, PO13 9FX.
No warranty claim will be processed without proof of purchase (or proof of registration at the time of purchase) and the details requested above. The cost of returning the Products to the place of purchase (or us for direct sales) will be borne by the person making the warranty claim. We will not accept any shipments sent cash on delivery or collect shipments.
We will carry out a review of the returned Products and inform you whether the claim is covered under the warranty or not. We reserve the right to charge a fee (including but not limited to an admin fee and the cost of returning the Products to you) if, following our review, no manufacturing default is found and the fault is caused by one of the exclusions above.
This warranty is applicable to our Products sold globally and is subject to the laws and exclusive jurisdiction of England and Wales. To the extent that we are legally permitted to do so, we hereby exclude any other warranties express or implied by law (including not limited to any warranties of fitness for purpose). You may be entitled to certain additional mandatory statutory rights as a consumer depending on where you purchased our Products.
